Hilltop E-Hallelujahs

Liturgical Calendar

We serve the community and world through Ministry.

Most often our Sunday worship service is Eucharist Rite II. Occasionally, we have Morning Prayer. During Advent and Lent there are services during the week.

There are many opportunities for the congregation to participate in the worship service – acolytes, chalicists, offering collectors, sacristans, sacrament bearers, intercessors, lay ministers, lay readers and volunteer musicians. The spiritual life of St. George’s is healthy and active.

St. George's participates in the Diocesan mission "Hoosier Hearts to Gulf Homes." Three members of St. George's traveled with the diocesan group to Camp Coast Care in the Fall of 2006 to help with the re-building of Katrina-ravaged homes, businesses and churches. We have raised more than $1,100 toward the "virtual truckload" of drywall for the rebuilding effort along the Gulf Coast.

St. George’s has been active in the World Global Mission Commission. In March 2002, the members from the diocese of Bor and Brasilia visited Indiana. One of their stops was St. George’s on the hill. They and Bishop Cate had lunch with us and all sang “Amazing Grace” in their own tongues. It was an overwhelming experience.

In 2004, the ladies of the church made about 40 brightly colored skirts and sent them to our sister churches in the Sudan.
